It's 6:20 in the morning and I returned from a wonderful night in central Berlin.
For those of you, who don't know this event: Two times a year all great museums and some other very neat institutions are opening their gates from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. for the people. A special bus line is introduced, to provide quick access between locations.
So I took the opportunity to visit the Berlin cathedral (stunning...) including cupola and the crypta with so famous peoples coffins (in fact sarcophaguses) like Friedrich 1st and 2nd. On the other hand it was kind of shocking to see so many childrens coffins down there... Nevertheless it was worth the trip (THX Stef :/\]).
After that we went to see the Zeughaus in which the weapons were stored in the time of King Friedrich 1st. Inside there is a coutyard called Schlüterhof. Imagine a pink, roofed cladding - neat !
Finally we went to see as much of the greek and islamistic period (well... the Ishtar Gate) in the Pergamon museum as we could. In fact you could spend a whole day alone for this.
Overall it was the best pre birthday evening since aeons for me.
