ABOUT ME AND NICE
About NICE
After learning to write Delphi my interest in 3d graphics started to grow. I tried to write some little applications
many, many times with Delphi - but I could not handle it. After checking out C#, I started writing a little 3d engine
with MDX - but then I found XNA.
Back in 2007 I started the migration of the engine to this framework and then... well... I was falling in love and so
had to slow down the further development of any of my projects a little bit ;/\]
NICE is a bacronym for "NICE is a C# engine". My goal is to provide a good structured, intuitive and educational approach
to game development for anyone finding this page.
That's it.
About me
Little freak, aged eight, learns programing in 1989! Well... that must have been the newspapers headline on my
birthday in that year. Back in the old days, I learned BASIC on the C64 after my dad gave me the handbook. I just
asked him: "How do I write a game?" - And so pandoras box was opened.
After moving on to the PC and continuing writing programs in QBasic and after that in PASCAL. Some time later I learned
assembler to take advantage of some neat features like XMS memory or DMA access, which I needed for sound playback.
After I met elpado, I started writing my source in Delphi and C# some time later.
In 2002 I went to my civilian service in the Lazarus Hospice and after that to my apprentenship as an IT professional
for software development. In 2005 I finished as one of the five best apprentices in that year and continued working
in my old company. As kind of head of online marketing, I educated myself in website optimization, AdWords, JScript
and PHP.
Since spring 2008 I'm now working as a ZEND developer in my new company, which is an great online shop for used and
new games, consoles and many, many other cool thing.
Nobody of you will know my old HP, but after many years in which I used to have a self-made server in my living room,
I met the girly of my dreams and moved to an other flat - so there was no room for my little freaky construction left.
Well, now this page is boosted up and relaunched on an official server ;/\]
